92 lx hatch issue

ok well i picked up this 92 lx and cant seem to figure out how to get the damn hatch open so i can swap out the spoiler, theres a button in the glovebox that says trunk/hatch , and it ive checked all the fuses and they look good and it didnt come with a key. any help as how to troubleshoot this thing or to get it open would be greatly appreciated.

There is a small plate underneath the hatch that has 2 small rivets in it, you can drill those rivets out and pull that plate out and the whole lock cylinder will come out. Then you can use a flathead screwdriver to open it and also replace the lock cylinder itself.

there is a rivet under the lock hole just drill the rivet out and pull the retainer out and the lock comes out then you can use a long flat screw driver and open it

Oops, Didnt mean to beat ya to it! I wasnt sure if there was one rivet or two. That will get ya in it quick.
