I got this from my brother and haven't played with it too much yet but so far it is alot of fun. Does anyone else have a crawler or a scale truck they play with? It is a Duratrax with quite a few upgrades.

There is a local park that has a ton of dried creek beds that are awesome for climbing. This thing is pretty slow but it is way to cool to see the rocks it will climb over.

Buddy of mine is into crawling, he's also a moderator on www.rccrawler.com

I just end up messing with his trucks.

BTW if anyone needs a NiCd/Nimh charger I have a few extra to get rid of.

hobbytown sells some cool rock crawlers. may have to pick one up so it can sit next to my other mgt on the shelf... lol I spent soooo much on that damn mgt too. It was like over 400 by its self.

Yeah it seems like it can get real expensive in a hurry. My brother really likes to spend money on them. He is getting ready to build a custom tube frame crawler from scratch. Mista I run a lipo battery and have good charger already.

Oh yes, they can get very expensive. I used to have two HPI RS4 on road cars. I had 8-900 wrapped up in one of them easily. Damn thing would hit 2nd gear and would straight take off. Buddy of mine has a few rowdy Nitro powered buggies and they are a blast. He beats the hell outta them. I think hes gone through 2 or 3 chassis now. lol

I used to be crazy into RC10GT's but sold it all off. I still have a custom painted HPI Savage truck body if anyone is interested.

I'm a mod on rcshortcoursetalk.com (aka rcnitrotalk.com).

I used to be big into radio control but have lost interest when our tracks got shut down. I figured you'll have everyone interested in your crawler once you start powdercoating stuff for it, lol. BTW There's a HUGE market for that.

I've never had a crawler, but might get one if mad money ever permits it.

It's a Pro Line Crowd Pleazer body..It has a couple mounting holes that you won't use because i had it on my stadium truck but it was never actually ran so it's almost perfect condition, just a few scuffs from being handled and boxed up moving over the years. The body was $35 new before paint...make me an offer?

I recently bought my 7 yr old son an Axial AX10 RTR. It has a few upgrades and I took the bodies off of a couple of his old RC trucks and modified them to fit the Axial so he can change them out when he gets bored with it.

Kenny, I had told him you know of a great place to take them to do some crawling. He asked me last night if we were going to take it there. We need to get together some time.

Ian we are thinking about Sat afternoon sometime. My son has a bb game at 2:00 so it would be afer that. If interested I'll let you know for sure. Hey David just out of curiosity get me a measurement from the center of the wheel opening to the center of the wheel opening. that is a cool looking body.

HAs any one ever had any of the xmods that radio shack sells? I have had a ton of them. You can cheaply mod them and get them moving. Also if you use good rechargablr batteries they not only go faster but last for a while. A place I worked at selling cars had a huge indoor area. We pit nails and other things on them and rammed them into each-other. That was a blast. I still have a few of them including a 68 camaro and a 65 mustang.

I know these I've got arent even close to the same league as the ones you guys use but decided to get back into some RC stuff and bought an Earthquake 3.5 Redcat for myslef and have had nothhing but fun with it.But My 5 year old son just cried his eyes out for a RC car or truck when I got mine.So...I bought him a red cat Rock crawler RTR RS10.Its slow enough for him to control,4 wheel steer. Its really cool to play around with.Think dads put more hours in it then him lol.The optional steering controls rocks.!

I love the slow technical driving of rock crawling. I have a lipo battery that will last 2hrs which is plenty of time. That would be one of my first upgrades. You guys ought to come with us sometime, we go to a park over here in Independence that has a really good creek. Only problem is now there is a ton of leaves which makes it a bit more of a pain in the ass.

I was in Harlan crawling with the real thing Saturday. We'll have to get together soon. I'd like to check out the park. You don't happen to have a gas leaf blower do ya?
