Headed to Willmington tomorow after work

I'm headed to Willmington after work wednesday afternoon to meet up with a fellow on a 89 GT 5 gear car. It's yellow with welds and a cobra hood on it. He's from Mt Orab, and is driving it to meet me about 40 mis or so. I know 2nd gear is out of it, but he swears he drives it with no problems. If anyone knows anything about this car, chime in and give me the DL:bigthumb
I think 1slo92's gonna meet up with me to look it over. I'm ridin solo, so if your bored, swing out to the McD's and meet up with me, maybe help me make this deal lol.

I bet i know the car... Not to bash anyone if it's on here... but IF its not a rust free straight as an arrow car I would pass on it if I were you... Dude has like 4 other mustangs at his place. All of them are kinda pieced together looking. and IF I'm right... this car has that silly looking double R style hood with the SVO scoop in the middle, a black spoiler, missing drivers door moulding, and not originally yellow, and i think it even has exhaust tip cut outs in the rear bumper.

I know you're looking for a clean nice car... this may not be it. But hopefully it's a different car than the one I know. Got a link?

I'll be at the McDonalds on 71 at about 6:15-6:30ish. Bobby (1slo92) is gonna meet up with me so I'm not solo during the deal. I might need another set of gears if I get this car lol, I do kbnow it's gonna need trans work though. 2nd gear is out, but driveable... Jesse, I pm'ed you, that sounds like the car. I'm not looking for a show car, just a running driving injected 5.0 stick car. This one fits the bill, I can handle the minor stuff and a paint job too. I didnt like the hood scoop on the cobra hood, but all in all the car didnt look too bad. It's sitting on weld drag lite skinny/chubbies too, thats a plus.

I dont think so either, I dont mind having to do some work to it. Thats where I find joy in these things actually. I just dont want a rusted wadded up pile of poo. I'm looking for a "decent" looking, running/driving car thats stock with efi still working on it. This one fits the bill I think. Now as long as the deal goes through, i'll be a happy man...

Just got back from the meet n greet and he did the deed. It's not perfect by any means but i think hes happy with it. Hell knowing him he'll have it functioning properly and banging gears in a few months.

I did make the deal, and thanks again Bobby for coming out and looking it over with me. It needs some TLC for sure, but I think I'm just the guy to give it. It has a few tasteful mods, and some not so tasteful lol. All in all I have like $1700 in it, so the fact I drove it 2hrs home safely says I did good. The motor has excellent oil pressure, and runs great no smoke or noise. Body is actually pretty straight, hood needs to go, needs a few interior parts and DEFFINITELY needs a t5 or the current one fixed. I'll get pics up in the next day or two, I wanna get it cleaned up first. I'll go ahead and start a build thread, and wanted add threads as well, so hook a broke banger up! LMAO

Lol thanks guys, as of now I'm in need os a grey headliner with sunroof hole, both grey sun visors, and a heater control maybe. Thats not countingh the transmission and a few other things lol....
