I have a 19 inch widescreen monitor, flat panel, and it's starting to get some ghost images...you know from when the same image is on the screen for so long it burns into it? I've always had my screen saver set at 5 minutes but i think because the computer is used so much online, that's not helping much. I can see the Google Chrome tool bar stuff in the top right corner of my screen when Chrome is shut off :(

Is there anything i can do to fix/prevent this or am i already screwed?

I don't know about fixing it, David. To prevent it in the future, you can view websites full screen. On mine, I press F11.

I think there is a way to "hide" the upper and lower bars, that allow them to be seen when the cursor hovers over them, but I don't know how you do that.

there used to be like a thing you could hit on some computers, like say a magnet got closed to it it would make the screen all shakey and shit for a minute and i cant remember what its called.

Yeah i don't remember what that was called but this monitor doesn't have that option...i don't think they used that on flat panels.

A degausser. They only worked, with CRTs.
