View Full Version : Life is sometimes cruel and unfair.

I didn't want to put this in the rant section since it isn't a rant just generalizing(sp).
Last week I lost my mother to cancer and took a turn for the worse in her last few days and passed away on Thursday.
Then I got home tonight to find out that there was something wrong with my dog, she wasn't eating, drinking...anything. Watched her for a couple hours and I just knew this was it, she couldn't get up on her own and when she tried she'd just fall back down after takin 1 step. Her breathing was hard and it was almost the life she had left was fading.
So I made an emergency trip to the animal clinic in Wilder KY. The vet came in and I knew. I was going to lose my little baby.
I know when you lose someone very close to you it is very hard, for me losing my dog is even harder, because for me they are so inocent and very loyal, no matter what happens your pet is right there by your side. So when it was time to say goodbye to my mother and my precious dog (Neptune) I was there by their side.
So for me it seems cruel and unfair.

Damn man thats shitty. I lost my best friend to cancer about a month ago and then the following Wednesday we had to put one of our Boxers to sleep for cancer. Seems its getting the best of us all. Its been rough around here so I know exactly what your feeling. Keep your head up and prayers go out to you and your family.

Let me know if you want another cat. My sister has two cats that need a home. Both cats have all of their shots, front claws removed and both are very friendly.

No thanks Johnny, the kids would love them but we still have two and that is enough.

Sorry for your losses, it's nice when people try and console you with "they're in a better place", but that just doesn't cut it. Stay strong man.

I feel for you... Lost my mom to cancer in May. Extra tough for you losing your companion as well. Stay strong and hang in there.

Man, I'm sorry. Life is definitely messed up sometimes.
In the old SBZ days, someone would call an emergency buffalo wings night (or something similar) to address the situation. Seems that burnouts, wings, (and beer?), are at least a temporary distraction from the pain.
I know that's not the answer I'm supposed to give you (me being a Christian), but sometimes we need to lean on our brothers for support. Just because we're all a bunch of knuckle draggin' gearheads doesn't mean we don't have feelings too.

Guys, thanks for your kind words, my wife and I appreciate every word...believe me we do, even though I may not know everyone on here but hearing just how much people care sometimes can shift time.
Thank you.
