Well Im home and medicated.
They put in a plate and 7 screws also performed a nerve block so arm could be numb for 36 hour with is fine with me.
I think I talked to 89notch when I was still heavily medicated so that should be interesting to hear about.

Thanks again for all the well wishes and texts checking on me!

good to hear your fixed man. I had one of those nerve blocks in my right leg when I had my ACL repaired. I won't ever do that again. Probably different though with it being your arm. Did they put one of those glucose plates and screws in there or is it titanium? They put those glucose screws in my knees. They will disolve with time.

Anyways glad everything worked out for you.

Take care and keep on top of the meds. I learned the hard way its better to take them 15 to 20 minutes earlier than directed. If you keep drugged up ( as bad as it sounds) its tolerable but if you let them wear off it seems like you play hell trying to get it to go away. Hope you heal up soon!!

With my mass in my chest surgery I had that problem...They had me take Advil an hour after the percocet... it sure helped!! Between the two it was tolerable. Without the two it wasn't. disclaimer..i am not a doctor I don't even play one on tv but its what worked for me!!

Those pain meds can really mess with you. They had me on Deloted while I was in the ER room and I swore they announced something about Mystery Meat over the PA. :D

I was also telling the nurse that she was swabbing my leg wrong. Told her she needed more solvent (I work in electronics and we use swabs and alcohol to clean parts) to clean my leg.

Get well Soon

Those pain meds can really mess with you. Vicondin is awesome. :bigthumb

Beware of Oxycondone though. Great for pain but you'll be addicted in no time.

MrsAPE

Personally I thought Vicondin sucked!! Oxycondone is my pain med of choice. I see why people would get addicted to it but I think that has to do with the person not the med.

They gave me Vic and Perc for at home use. One was for two months and I only went one month on it and the other was for 3 months and I only took it for two and only when I had too during the last month of the two.

Same here. I got more relief out of a couple of Advil after having my wisdom teeth removed than I did the Vicodin.

I hope you have a speedy recovery Bo.
