View Full Version : AOD set up
I am selling the AOD in my 92 Mustang.
1 piece input shaft
unknown shift kit w/epoxy mod...allows 1-2-3 shift, no shuffle
Precision Industries 9.5 inch 2800-3000 non lock up stall (in a 302)
factory shifter
tv cable, shifter cable
Lokar TV cable for carb set up.
Asking $750 for everything....the converter alone sells for about $600-650.

How fast have you been with this setup? Any idea on a HP rating? Who built it?

I went 12.50s in it a few years ago with a 302. It went 1.75 60s on drag radials leaving at idle and smashing the gas. I bought it off of Dedpedal. If I remember correctly, he said that the tranny guy at a Cincy area Ford dealership did the rebuild. I'm pretty sure Timido knows the guy.
No clue on on HP rating. I do know that the 1 piece input shaft really increases the strength.
Will consider trading up for a nice manual trans or a C4 setup.

I can vouch for this trans I had it in my car when rich did a trade for the manual set up he use to have I went 11.60s on drag radials smashing the gas from the starting line worked great. Really nice trans well worth the money.:bigthumb
Please remove...decided to keep it!
Decided to sell it and go with a stick so I can run in UMTR.

sell just tranny?
sell just tranny?
Do you already have a non-lock up converter? A stock AOD converter will not work with this input shaft.

That converter will not work with this AOD. It has the 31 spline 1-piece input shaft.
