I had the owner of this place call me last night about a shifter I have for sale, said he seen my ad on Craigslist (apparently didn't read it). He asked me about some other items but wanted pics of the shifter, i said no prob.

Now first, my ad says-

"Everything is priced to sell, no need to try and negotiate unless its marked obo, if you dont like the prices then look up new prices and then look back to mine. I'm sick of lowballing $%#* who want something for nothing people...Dont try to build it if u cant afford it!!!!! I'm really a nice guy:)lol!!!"


With that being said, I also had "FIRM" out beside the shifter listing... Anyway, I send the pics and wait for his response. He responds "will u take $50?" Needless to say, it didnt sit well, I responded, "I dont like to be lowballed" trying to let him know that, hey, dont really like where this conversation is going..... He responds "I didnt lowball u, I made u an offer based off of what I see"..... Now that really pisses me off because it is a perfectly good billet shifter (B&M) for a t5, no damage, excellent condition, and priced less than half of what a new one would cost....

I had to wait awhile before I responded (trying to be nice)... So, I responded that "$80 is less than half price, and the price is firm".... He sent back nothing.

So today I sent him a text and told him how he offended a potential customer last night, in detail, and he just doesnt understand why??? He tells me I shouldnt sell anything on a online swap shop if I dont like what people want to offer... Well dumbass, thats why I put "firm" and "no need to try and negotiate"..... To eliminate issues like this.... Guess you should have got "hooked on phonics" before u started your business so u can read!!!!!

Anyway, is there anyone here that can read the statements that was in my ad and figure out why it would rub me the wrong way..... I explained it to him in blk and white and he still doesnt get it???....WTH

He just wants something for nothing...

Don't take it personal, it's negotiating, that's how it will always be. If you would have said, "no thanks, I'm firm @ $80", he may have taken it, maybe not, but either way, nobody would have been offended.

It wouldnt have irritated me if the ad didnt clearly state, NO NEED TO NEGOTIATE, FIRM... and on top of making an offer on something that says firm, he offers half based off of what he sees in a picture..... If I would have had OBO, it wouldn't have been a prob, i negotiate on items all the time.

Well if you want to rant first off I own CRaZY FOX INC., Second I called you on a personal basis for a BUDGET BUILD that I am in the middle of! My call had nothing to do with my Company by any means, now if you want to tell these guys what really happened you advertised a "Hurst Pro 5.0 Shifter" which turned out to be nothing more than a Hurst Polished Shift Stick, Boot, & Bezel NOT A Pro 5.0 Shifter!! I have done business with the majority of Cincinnati & anyone that knows me is aware of who the Idiot is! If you are going to post on Craigs List then post the correct parts & take your skirt off so your feelings dont get hurt! "Something for Nothing" Lol its guys like you that try to run prices through the roof & have no idea what your selling, you are the TYPICAL I have a MUSTANG to Say I have one Kinda Guy!!!! Now this was a personal purchase if you have a complaint with my Company there is a place called "BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU"

First off, in the beginning of our conversation, you asked me about the shifter and other items and then said "I own Crazy Fox Inc" Asked me if I was looking for anything... Told me you had everything from a vacuum T to the tail lights.... Do you remember that??? Dont represent your company and then say, dont hold it against me its a personal build...

Second, I NEVER advertised a Pro 5.0 shifter, I advertised a Hurst. When I pulled tranny from the car, It was a B&M Ripper, with the Hurst handle and I CALLED you right away. You told me that was fine go ahead and send pics... I sent pics of a perfectly functioning, no damage, billet B&M short throw shifter... You offered $50??? WTH??? The B&M Ripper sells new for $194 @ summit, the handle and Besel sells for $72!!!! Thats $266 total, not including any shipping or other charges.... My price was $80, SAYS IT ALL RIGHT THERE... Your delusional, how is that price thru the roof????????? You keep telling on your self that confirms you want something for nothing, and that is, "BUDGET BUILD" You said it here and you said it in the text messages..

Apparently you cant read, that ad said "no need to negotiate" "firm" and it also said "hurst"....NOTHING ABOUT PRO 5.0!!!!!!

As far as who is the the idiot, well, thats up to whoever that reads this thread to decide but I posted the Gods HONEST truth of what happened!!!! Look at the classified feedback section... I take good care of who I deal with and who deals with me....

I've been dealing in mustangs and mustang parts for 23 years, I didnt know it wasnt a hurst shifter and was a ripper because the car was just recently purchased and not in my possession... The tranny was still in the car over at the body shop... The second that I knew it wasn't a complete hurst setup, I call and told you.... I do everything I can to not misrepresent and be as fair as possible...

Nothing was misrepresented, u knew exactly what I had before u ever saw a picture. If you feel the need to continue, we will keep it public so you can't change what is said or talked about.... if we talk on the phone you will scream, I will scream and it just will make for a no win situation. Don't offer people half there asking price when they have firm on there ad first of all, second, don't insult them by saying I made the offer based off of what I saw when u just want something for nothing because your doing a budget build. Then u won't have problems like this.

Next time when someone offers $50 for something listed at $80"firm" counter them with $90. If they try to meet in the middle at say $60ish counter them with $95.

Suddenly $80 isn't a bad price. They may respond something like "you must not want to sell your widget and you can counter with you must not really want to buy my widget." Ive found this is the easiest way to deal on craigslist and it ussually seperates the casual inquires and serious buyers.
