my brakes are good pads an rotors look good. but if i get on the brakes hard on the Highway they will stick a little. enough to shake the wheel. in the city they will stick enough to not let the car roll down a hill with the clutch in. i was going to just buy new calipers i think thats the problem but after reading. Starting to think its the Master cyl?

i would say its the calipers or brake hoses

I would replace the hoses and rebleed the system especially if they are orginal they should be replaced anyway.

I would put my money on the hoses. You can't tell by looking at them, as they are double walled. what happens is a piece of the linning lets fluid to your brakes, but will not let it release the pressure. kinda like a flap. one way not the other. This is from my past experiences. Master cyl symptoms vary from spongy to stiff. Hope i did'nt confuse ya!

That is only half of the test. loosen the brake line and see it the piston goes back. if so its the line if not its the caliper.. I have new calipers for 40 pr

that is one reason why your car doesnt run like it should. i had the same problems with one of mine but someone pulled out infront of me at a green light and i t-boned them and totalled it.
