Yeeaaah i dunno about 50mph. I used to have a high dollar Nishiki road bike when i was a kid, and it had the hardest gearing i've ever seen on a bike. The big front sprocket had to be 13 inches or so. When you put that thing in the hardest gear it would flat out haul ass. I remember a friend of mine clocking me at 37mph on flat land, and i just couldn't pedal any harder. Back then my legs were RIPPED because i literally rode 20+ miles a day every single day on my bike so i don't think lack of strength had anything to do with it.

Of course Bone went 50mph on a bicycle, his car will barely do that, let alone his bicycle. Always with the one-upping that guy. Anyway, the fastest I've been is around 28-32mph on a huge hill in patriot, Indiana on a 21 speed mongoose from Wal*Mart. I say 28-32 because the digital speedometer said 30mph, but I doubt it's accurate so I'm just guessing.
Kevin1989

ive gotten a digital speedo on a bike to say about 27... down a decent size hill. 50mph no freakin way!

I have taken that same road bike down the hills on 32 in Batavia, but i have no idea how fast i was going. All i know is the cars didn't pass me up that much faster than i was going, and the wind in my ears was crazy. I'm not a real small guy so aerodynamics weren't in my favor and i'm sure my clothes weren't helping.
Maybe bone was riding with his Lance Armstrong spandex on

No Spandex here!!!!!
John Gray Road from the top of the hill by the Golf Course headed back home. A car just coasting will hit 35-37 mph in neutral....and make it up the other side. On a bike....holy shit!! Dorcy speedo was bought at Swallens in Tri-County. I logged over 1500 miles on that bike. I'd hit 20-25 mph just down the small hills in the neighborhood.
It was either Atari 2600 or ride my bike...and I rode a lot! It was only a quarter to swim at the George Washington pool in Lindenwald instead of the $1.25 at Fairfield Golf Course. That meant out of the $2 I got I could play $1.75 worth of Asteroids at Northwest lanes, two plays for a quarter.
I wasn't always this fat :( If the seats didn't hurt so much I'd get back into riding.
Also remember back then radar was not very good, remember the 88 mph trees?

Last time I rode for any distance, I took on the Loveland Bike trail on a 18 Speed Huffy Mt Storm. This back when I was racing RC cars at Hi-Tech, about 1990. At that time it was 13 miles from the train depot in Loveland to end of trail around Morrow. With no training I started off and quicker found an easy pace. Might you it is slightly uphill most of the way to Morrow. The pace was a 1/2 mile marker every 2 minutes or 15 mph. I had a few guys on road bikes pass me and uphill I couldn't keep up.
Coming back I was able to go up two gears and was able to keep up with road bikes, even passed a few. I found a "tuck position" resting my elbows on the hand grips.
When I got to the end a road biker asked me how long I'd been riding....this was my first time in 7-8 years, having a car meant no need for a bike! He suggested I should drop a gear and pedal faster....myself I prefer the "big block" approach. low rpms with lots of leg power.

OMG you the bestest biker ever!!!!111!!! Maybe you should drop the honda and buy another 10 speed and ask some of your friends in Detroit to put you in a windtunnel then maybe you can go to France and show them how its done!

No DYNO is a brand of BMX/Freestyle bike
one day while at the ymca as a child, where i got in free because my mom and dad got us a family membership, I was feeling hot and bored. It was adult swim and it was hot out. The police or the outfield was playing on the speakers. I went to my mom and got 50 cents and got a zero bar. They kept them frozen and it melted in my hands but it was still good. Adult swim was over by then and I jumped in the pool, washed off my hands and went under the water and blew out a snot rocket that ended up on the back of this ladies swim suit. I remember thinking well get the hell outta the pool. Itsnot adult swim...

There was this one time that I got my gas-powered RC car up to 76mph. I ran it on nitromethane that I got from my best friend in the world, Kenny Bernstein. He was my mentor, and he wanted me to drive the top fueler when I grew up, but then he was afraid I'd break all of his records. But I know my RC car hit 76 because that's what the speedo on my BMX bike said, and I was riding along next to it. I could have gone faster if it wasn't uphill. Plus I had the controller in one hand, a chicken wing with sauce hotter than anything you've ever eaten in the other, and I was balancing a goldfish on my head in a bowl that I won at the carnival for throwing a baseball over 120mph. It was probably actually about 145mph, but the radar gun stopped at 120. I later designed a radar gun that goes up to 400mph, which is what NHRA uses to measure the jet car speeds. I used the royalties from that to get a rhinoceros, but the Zoo told me that if I donated the Rhino to them, they would name the Rhino exhibit after me, so I did and they backed out on the deal. It's ok though, because me and Thayne Maynard settled it at a UFC 48 prelim fight several years back. I submitted him via a choke I learned when I trained with Royce Gracie in Brazil, so he agreed to give me $1 for every admission purchased until 2050. I'm not greedy, nor am I a braggart, so I donate all of the money to needy puppies and kitties. Only ones that can beat me in a foot race though. I need to know that they can outrun the fastest runner on the planet, or they're just not worthy animals. After all, I did outrun Usain Bolt once. I probably would have lapped him, but I was in a suit, and I had to run backwards since my $200k shoes didn't have the right laces in them.
But yeah, I'm obviously better than you, or I wouldn't post here.

Keeping the cars from throwing the caps has kept John quite busy. He's since switched to Super Glue. The old glue would come apart at speed/heat and result in stuffing a $300-500 chassis into the wall at 90+ mph, aka gonzo!

If he was the legend he thinks he is why does he drive delivery and live in his moms basement?
