ok...it's a program not a virus. It rewrites your settings in your browser. Is there now a small icon in the bottom right hand corner that is new and looks like a windows shield?

well if you go to (YOUR COMPUTER NAME) it's under the desktop folder/APPDATA/LOCAL and look toward the bottom of the list. there will me a folder name that just don't look right. It will usually have a stupid crazy name and even may be multiple letters that are just gibberish, this is the folder that you will have to delete. Tell me what the folder name are so that you don't delete the wronge thing. You may not be able to delete it unless you reboot into safe mode and make sure that you shut it down in your task manager. Then what you will need to do is to go into your "menu bar" and select "tools" and then select "internet options". When the box opens, select the tab "connections". Go down and select LAN setting and then check the box "automatically detect settings". This will make your internet explorer work again. Hope this helps

It sounds like the virus three people got when browsing friend's facebook pages.

I found my old email report - sysguard.exe is the app. Do a search, there is a fairly easy fix for it. Finding the culprit was a PITA though.

I was going to say... I have diligently surfed PH.com for your virus. I can't find it ANYWHERE.
