I wish we could forget. Am I the only one who is kind of tired of seeing it all the time for the past 9 years. I understand the whole thing! We get it! My guess is the families who lost loved ones and friends don't wanna be reminded of this!

I am all for the military doing the right thing as well on the war on terrorism. But come on, we need to let go sometimes.

I guess some people just doesn't have a clue of how itFeels. I for one will never forget, I am a firefighter
paid, and volunteer. I guess if your not part of the Brother hood then you would want to let it go. But I am Sure that the family's want their husband's , sons and Fathers remembered for what they did. It should be remberedAnd everyone reminded every year of what those cowards tookFrom us our brothers, and all the people that was killed in The twin towers. Just like some people didn't agree with the War on terriosim. What they want us to stand back and watch What our people worked hard to build be destroyed?I think not.

Some people don't, and I agree. I am a police officer, so yes, I understand it all. Each person has opinions and to each their own. I had friends who were inside tower #1. It's something I wish to never see happen again. But also, I moved on with life as should others.

We can never truly forget what happened that day. I was watching the whole thing from home. We take things for granted sometimes and we got caught with our pants down. Will it happen again? Absolutley!

My opinion of this is it should be held as a day of rememberence and a day that should serve as a warning to a threat that will not go away. Instead you have a President calling for tolerence and asking not to burn the Quran because it might anger the radical Muslims and cause more attacks. Not saying that it should have been done but got news for him, they hate us for everything we stand for and all the we have. Why should we stand by and let them kill innocent people, kidnap and behead our citizens, drag them thru their streets hang them from bridges and set them on fire becuase they do not share their beliefs? Why should we not be mad as hell? We should just forgive them for the 19 hijackers that flew 4 airliners into 3 buildings and field killing nearly 3,000 thousand men, women and children? The world should be saying dont PISS OFF the United States of America because you remember what they did to radical islamist that cowardly attacked them for not sharing their beliefs. Im not a firm believer in turning the other cheek, all that comes from that is getting smacked twice and never learning from it.
God bless all those that lost their lives and all the family and friends that lost their loved ones and God Bless our Armed Forces because with out them standing up and doing whats needed with their hands tied behind their back because we are a Country of Morals and decency we would not enjoy the freedoms we have today.

Also do not mistake this as a hatred for Muslims, I know that radical Islam and the Muslim faith are seperate and not the same.
Again just my opinion

deep breath... sorry, I guess this thread is going to be a bit disturbing.

http://leicestersquared.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/fallingman-lg.jpg

See this? This is someone ending their life because the building they work in for a living to support their family is on fire, and he along with many others jumped to end it quickly rather than suffering from smoke inhalation and burning to death. This is why, though im young, 9/11 Pisses me off bad. The first link with the song for the most part expresses my thoughts, its easier to listen than to read for people on here anyways :) This thread isnt to stir the pot, but to REMEMBER what happened like it or not, just to REMEMBER the people who gave their lives to save others, and for the familys with loved ones or friends who lost their lives.

I watch every year. I make sure to take time and remember the people who lost their lives and the people that had to go on without their heros in their lives anymore. It changed me that day and I have never let it go. I love my wife a bit more and respect my mom and dad a bit more. I try to be a better person and I have an undying respect for firemen and law enforcement. I take a lot less for granted and appreciate the things I have. Dont get me wrong I am still a dick.... Just not all the time anymore.
