Does anyone know the size of bolts to buy to plug the holes in the heads where the smog pump runs into. And when I take the thing off I don't need to do anything with any type of wiring, or do I. If I take it off the car will still run right? Just wondering never tried delet anything before.

Just take it off and run a shorter belt, that's it. As for the tubes on the back of the head you can just flip the block things over and bolt em back on, it will plug those ports.

or use spark plugs and cut off the ends

What do you mean block things? Are there like flaps back there or what?

The part of the smog lines that actually bolt onto the back of the head. You can cut of the tubes off and flip the little "blocks" that bolted onto the heads

All I did was run a shorter belt. Left the smog pump on there for now. I will be interested to see how this thread turns out as I would like to remove the equipment to cleanup the bay a little... Let me find a good write up I found on smog delete... stay tuned!

Here is a nice PDF on smog pump removal. It's for sn95 (that's what I got), I don't know what your app is, but this may be handy anyway.

You will want to specifically look at page 9 of the pdf... 2 - 9/16”x1” NC GR5 bolts.

All you need is an alternator.

I ordered the plugs from trick flow through summit. They were a few buck a piece. They are called thermactor plugs TFS-51400265.
I think that you could also just use a 5/8-11 X .75 inch bolt.

Thanks for all the help. I'm going to take it off when I get home. I'll let you know how it goes, cause with me something is bound to go wrong. Thanks again for all the input.

Take a spark plug to Lowes and match it up with a short bolt and buy 2 of'em, or flip around what's already bolted in.
