If you wait until the day after Labor Day, everything is dirt cheap.

There is a down side (at least to me), the beach is nearly empty, so not a lot of teeny weeny bikinis!

well I don't care about the teenie weenie bikini's as much as just my kids having a good time. Granted if one walked by, I can't say that I wouldn't look. I'm a guy, what do you expect:) But for the most part I am looking for a somewhat relaxed vacation.

I'm sure most vacation spots, are the same. The last time I went to MB, was a week after Labor Day. Everything was half price, buy one get one, etc.... I didn't stay at any hotel/motel, but their prices were half, too (I asked).

And the weather is PERFECT! No crowds, no lines, no waits....

not lately, I just had Left and Right ACL surgery. It's been eventful. I figure that while the doctor won't let me return to work then I might as well enjoy my recovery :)

I like to stay about 5 miles south of MB in Garden City. Royal Garden Condos all the rooms are ocean front. I was there last month and got a 2 bedroom unit with a sleeper sofa for $1200 for 5 nights. Great pool and within walking distance to the pier. I have stayed there 6-7 times.

My family has gone down this time of year twice now and always had a great time. We stayed for a week right on the main road down there where all the hotels are right on the ocean. It was called breakers resort. Very nice. Lots of family things to do.
