87stangbbb is correct the only thing I can come up with is that it can't be covered up but it doesnt say knife specific just any weapon that can be used as deadly force...

Tell the guy at the table next to you to mind his damn business. And as previously stated,as long as its NOT covered up,your fine.

Also, auto openers over 3 inches are illegal as are "switchblades" over 3 inches.

"she told me to give her 12 inches and make it hurt, so i screwed her twice and puncher her in the face"
ADC :cool2:
I can't seem to get a straight answer on the knife laws. Some people have told me Ohio itself has no limit on folders but then county by county does. How the hell is anyone expected to figure it all out?

Yeah i had an ex police officer even tell me as long as it isnt longer than your palm is wide youre ok? But compare my palm to a size 1 petite woman's palm...theres a lot of gray area there.
Maybe our resident officers could chime in? Theres a new Spyderco coming out and i'd love to carry it but it's 3.5 inches and im real cautious about staying legal.

I used to carry a 119 black handle buck years ago a lady sherriff of allen county tried to tell me it was illegal. She didnt do anything about it, But i did find out through a butler county sherriff that as long as its not concealed your cool.

The law on fixed blades is pretty big as long as it isn't concealed. Which to me is pretty stupid because once my folder is open, how is it any different if i'm going to do something bad with it?
