how many dzus fasteners 4 hood?

Ok just bought hood for my 99 and it is a lift off hood so I going to put dzus fasteners on it and seen many with 12-14 per hood or as little as 6 on a hood.what do you guys think?

If you look at the sets, most of them have ten.

But then again, hot dogs have 10 and buns have 8.

3 on the sides, 2 up front, 2 in the rear.

Ripped out some DZUS' and up she came. I needed two extra in the back that I never got around to mounting which allowed the front to flex more.

they have always scared the hell out of me and are just a pita all around,theres alot of nice hood pins kits out right now flush mount on all 4 corners would be my choice

x2 i had dzus fasteners on my 88 coupe i had and it came off .. sucked bad

What are some hood pin manufacturers you can recommend? Just to see what is out there

Craigs rivits ripped out of the fenders when the air got under the hood that was it.. what a mess that was:lol: I like some of the rail style set ups. The rail bolts down to the fender and its seems to be solid.

If you do use dzus fasteners, it is also a good idea to have fire suppression, under the hood.
