Best time is just as evening goes to utter darkness. You need to be away from the city and lighting in general. I have seen them out in the country!!! It is a moving sight to see indeed. A very beautiful scene like a naked perfect woman you can see in a magazine but you know you will never get to touch!!! ;) :chug:
Looking at the sky is a dying past time.....Our ancestors did it quite a bit I imagine. I sometimes ponder what they thought as they did? We have the advantage of kind of knowing what is out there. They just had ideas but not a whole lot of fact based data......

The best place to see them is on Lake Cumberland on a house boat in a cove.... those were the days!!

Pretty disappointing. Reports indicated a max of 80 meteors an hour around 5am. I saw 7 the whole night.

Best place to watch any celestial event would be on top of Mauna Kea on the big island of Hawaii ;)
