Took Saleen to KilKare

I took the Saleen to Kil Kare tonight. It was blazing hot. I ran 8 times. I have a Saleen Series 1 supercharger running about 10#. My car has 3.27 gears, and street tires. My best was
13.4 @ 103.5 with a 2.02 60 ft. I averaged around a 13.8 at 103.
Had runs with traction control both on and off..results varied. I did run against the guy with the blue Mach 1
he won 13.5 @ 106 to 13.9 @ 104 He was running Aj's slicks and left hard. I was chasing him, but not enough track left. I now have cul de sac bragging rights, I beat the 355 powered 71' Vette next door.

Thats not to shabby on radials. Some good tires and it will wake it up Im sure. Good luck!

What year car? Have you had it on the dyno? Drag radials make a huge difference.

Thanks guys, it's my first time down the track in a rwd car. Had a 300 fwhp turboed SVT Contour. It's a 2001, it has not been on the dyno. JDM who did the tune thinks about 300 or so whp. I'm gonna have it tweaked and hope to get 320 or so whp. I heard someone say track temp were around 140! I can't wait to get it out when it's 50.

My 60ft was a 2.0, which wasnt the best, but still leaving pretty hard.
My friend thought I did a one wheel peel lol, but I think they both spun.

Thanks for posting..after watching that if I could launch may have been different outcome. It pulls pretty hard through second and third. Oh well it was fun. I have to get a different shifter..the stock one sucks.

If Jim at JDM did the tune, I would consider not messing with it. His tunes are spot on from all the experience I've seen. BTW, nice numbers. Should improve with better air.

Rich, Jim Jr. built the tune. I need the EGR tuned out. My Xcal doesn't have the option to remove it. I'm curious to put it on a dyno and just see if I can squeeze a lil more power out. I want to find out what it puts down for certain. He came highly recommended in the Saleen forums, which is why I used JDM.

Squale, sorry if you watch the video you see that my launch was horrible! With a driver mod, my car woulda beat him easily! This was like my 4th pass ever...so it will improve. With practice and cooler weather I think it will run alot better.

Aren't stock Mach 1's running low 13's on radials? Slicks and a 13.58?
