So I've drove the car a little bit now.

Well today I'm driving back from my buddies house, I get stopped at a light and I smell the faint smell of something burning.
I'm around a couple beaters so I think nothing of it.
I get to the road to my house and I get on it a little and I see some smoke in my rear view.
I didn't think too much of it since when I get to the too of 1st sometimes the rear will lift and smoke a little.

Well I pull. In the drive way and stop, I get out and notice a small amount of smoke coming from the rear drivers side tire. I look and its rubbing aginst the trunk pan.

I've driven the car 60 miles before this and never had this issue. Here are the specs.
86 LX coupe. Metco UCA/LCA, drag lites 15x8 with 27-10.5-15 quick time pros.
What would cause this all of the sudden? It should have showed up before now. Also I'm running 35 psi in the QTP.
Is this tire too big? or am I basically going to. Have to use a small spacer or just bfh the pan a little?

Thanks for the help guys. Sorry its so long.

John

Fuel Load. (?)

Cooler than normal day may factor into it somehow as well.

Too much down force. (Joking)

Car is also 5 lugged drum brakes and has the lug nuts with a sleeve on them where the wheel rides on it.

Fuel load is full like the other times I've drove it.

It does have a sheet metal drag wing.... Lol. Hmmm.

Its been 85 plus each time I've drove it. With no AC or radio I'm looking foward to cooler days. I feel like I'm cooking in it.

See if it still rubs after this (http://www.stangtv.com/forum/tech-how-clearance-fox-body-mustang-440.html#) ;)

That seems like a skinny tire to me. If they measure like an et street. Just about anytime you run a bigger tire on a fox body you'll need to flip or remove the quad shocks, then you need to see where the shiny spots in the wheel wells are. If any you need to tap them in with a hammer. This is what we call (tubbing them out)lol. Sometimes the rearend is just offset to one side to bad and you can adjust with a spacer. All foxbody rearends are offset wrong or a little crooked

That's what I noticed at first was the shiny spots on. The trunk pan when I took the wheels off.
It just pisses me off that I drove it 70 miles and didn't have an issue, then all of the sudden bam.
I guess that's just normal with cars like this.
