Parking meters improve

Just saw an episode of Modern Marvels covering the history of coin-op machines. There is a new generation parking meter out now that accepts CC's allows you to program the amount of time you will be parking there, operates on solar power, and is capable of texting service for jams, or tampering. I thought the parking meter was soon to go the way of the do-do bird. The thing was wild looking. Looks like they will keep anything alive with the changing times if it generates revenue for the govt. LOL!

They also have ones that sense the car leaving and reseting back to zero.....bastards!

Cincinnati just changed the meters from 1 dollar per hour to 2 per hour. They are not going away anytime soon.
