My close cousin just had her baby in july , Beautiful Lil girl named Andrianna , She started to get a high temp late last week so they took her to the ER.. she was diagnosed with menigitis, or how ever you spell it.. we was hoping she was gonna be ok, well we just found out today that she now has bateria menigitis and thats not good.. They also found a blood clot thats coming from a vein that comes from her brain. she is only 3 weeks old.. They are doing everything they can to make her better.. So prayers needed guys.. My nephew Alex had this at 6 months old, it was a rough time, however being in Cincinnati & having one of the best hospitals in the country for children he pulled through, he is now 21 & just graduated from college. Keep the Faith, Prayers & Thoughts for all of you.

I had Menigitis when I was 16 months old. It's something I don't remember but I know I was lucky to only lose some of my hearing. I wish her a speedy recovery and no side effects from this disease.

They are giving the baby some kind of medicine to reduce the blood clot thats coming from her brain. and they found out what kind of virus she had so they can now give her the right anti biotic.. so hopefully she gets to come home in a few days. im telling ya prayers do wonders.. Thanks to everyone..

Living in an imperfect world sucks. It is unfortunate that things like this occur. Evil and Good are both working within the world we live in.

my 2 year old had a 104 fever this past spring. the er doc told us that the fever was a good thing, it is how our body fights off the by raising our body temp to burn things off to sort of say. he told us that convulsions due to high fever is an old myth as well as brain damage from high fevers as well. he encouraged us not to give any pain releiver unless she was uncomfortable as this slowed the fever to burn off the bad stuff. so what we found was fevers can be an indication of something wrong while at the same time a good dose of the bodies own medication to fight illness. best wishes for your family.
