Anyone also into trucks? I have a passion for sixth gen (73-79) ford trucks. my current project is a 78 f-150 . It's actually my first 2wd and automatic auto. Bought a fresh 1000 miles 351m and c-6 to stuff in it later. new motor has a previous owner estimate of 325 hp. I'll post pics as soon as i find a front set of anen sprints (15x6 or 15X7). So if you guys have a set 5x5 1/2 let me know. show your pics and tellus about your truck!!!!!:bigthumb

Hi, My name is Ben, and I like trucks....
(bangerz say: "Hi Ben")
I've got a 66 F-100. My grandfather purchased new in Liberty Ky in 66'. He passed it to my uncle, who passed it to my dad who passed it to me. It's literally a farm truck and has spent most of its life in a barn, some bad pots but solid overall. The pic is from when i picked it up. Was 240 4 spd, is currently 300 4spd, on the stand is a 460 and a C-6. 9in rear. right now it tops out @ 50mph w/ the trans and 4.10s but the 385 series motor and OD trans should make it more driver friendly.
The Green ram is my hauler. The pic is super old, 12 Ohio winter's and 180k miles have taken their toll on it cosmetically but it still gets down 360, auto, 3.90 Ls.
In case you couldn't tell Im a single cab short bed V-8 guy. The aftermarket has really come alive, between Dennis carpenter, LMC truck, craigslist, and Green sales you can pretty much find anything you need.

I am a truck lover also. Helped my dad do a frame off resto of a 78 F250 about 16 years ago. He dropped a 30 over 460 in it. Had the crank done, believe a crane cam, edelbrock intake an carb and head work. Not sure, but believe it had the c6 also. Pushing somewhere close to 400 horses. Gets about 7 miles to the gallon lol. A few years back the little brothers were smoking back in the barn and set it on fire. The 78, two 79's(parts trucks, but one was actually in really good condition) and an old farmall h were hit pretty hard. Truck still runs and drives but the outside looks like hell!
I currently have a 70 F100 shortbed. Not really pretty, but not the ugliest. Has the 300 inline 6, was 3spd on the colum but is converted to the floor. Future plans are either a 351c or 460 (have 2 of these just laying around...my dad is a packrat and wont get rid of anything!) and just rat-rod it out. Something to cruise in.
Can anyone post a pic for me if I e-mail it to you?
I have my hillbilly 79 short bed chevy 4x4. Its lifted and is a beast. Its the longest I have ever kept a vehicle. Going on like 5 or 6 years of ownership...

It was a nice truck too. We were talking a trade for a fox I had but he found a cash buyer (no surprise it was nice). Truck was 3/4 ton 7.3 di Diesel (sans turbo) w/ std trans.
It wasn't my favorite color buy when i think about how I missed it I just :bangwall:

Plus I had a 91 s10 2wd back in college.
I hate cars for the most part, except when I need something with decent gas mileage, 25+ mpg.

I have 2000 5.4L Triton 4x4 and will drive it untill the fenders fall off, actually fenders or not! lol!!! Over the years I have added Edlebrock equal length headers, Poweraid throttle body spacer, Megna Flow dual exhaust, Under drive pulley kit, A Tuner/Chip and a K&N cold air intake. It's a runner for weighing a ton.
