old tread but same build! Over the last weekend I built a sheet metal box upper intake out of aluminum. I have never tig welded aluminum before it's not bad for about 3 practice passes before trying it!

You may want to have it pressure tested prior to using it, keep it going.

I am going to pressure test it and still have a couple more welds to do to the bottom! I have to cut a hole in the top to unbolt it from the lower and that 1/4" plate on top is going to be a lid! It's a work in progress.

Still can't get over how good that car sounds. Sounded very close to a V8. You should let Adam tune it up for you. The guy knows his stuff. He has tuned for some pretty picky car owners who rave of his ability.

yeah that 4.3 sounds more like 4.6 at idle than I thought it would. You hear the 3.8 soul scream out at high revs but who cares... its cool!!

I will when I get the tt's on it. I can't see puting the money into it now for a tune and need another one soon. I just hope I can get by on 42lb injectors instead of the 60lbs injectors.

and with the sct its real simple to log your data and send it to someone like adam to make you a custom tune :-) tunes that are on it are from www.MorePowerTuning.com for my 4.6 with pi heads/pi cam/pi intake/long tubes headers/h pipe/slp catback/motoblue underdrive pully/bbk 78 tb, it ran damn good 12 na, all is still for sell all but the catback
