xbox repair

Anyone here or know of anybody that can repair my xbox 360 ? it has the red ring of death :mad:

before you do any thing, wrap it up in a quilt, turn it on, than go to work.

Half of the time, it works all the time.

man the towel trick is the worst thing to do to one....go ahead if youd like but they are easy to fix ive done 3 all of which are still working like they should.....you can go online and learn how then fix it yourself and save money

Yeah I have heard that there is a spot on the Main Board that gets really hot and melts the solder and makes connections where it shouldn't. Wrapping it in a blanket just makes it heat up the same way and can sometimes make it worse. Good Luck!

BTW: depending on how long you have owned it, you can get on line and register the unit and it will tell you if it's under warranty. I was able to send mine back and they paid for shipping and all and gave me 400 free microsoft points and 3 months of XBox live Gold for my troubles. Just thought would share

Wouldnt it be easier to get a new base model? They have to be cheep by now with the new ones out

You can repair them for next to nothing though.
