I have a bunch of 3.08 open units and can modify non IRS traction locks for IRS use. I do have an entire SC pumpkin, but I need $350 for it and it probably has 2.73 or 3.08 gears.

I'm pretty sure it should be 2.73 or 3.08 because it was a 5spd car. I put it up in the barn, I have good used 3.55's as well.

Orangeconv- Lincoln's were 3.08/open diff's.

Non LSC are 3.07 or 3.08, LSC are 3.27. All are open for traction control.

I have a 28 spline IRS posi unit from a 99 Cobra, had 50K miles on it, bought it off user TireTownUSA on Buckeyestangs if you want to confirm the mileage. I swapped in 31 spline and Detroit locker when I installed in my 66, $100.


I also have the half shafts, same mileage if you're interested.

Crap, I just realized from your response that I misunderstood your request, and you misunderstood my response. I thought you meant you wanted a complete IRS center, BUT the important part you needed from it was the posi unit (as in you would settle for just the posi minus the housing), so I have JUST a posi unit, and gears leftover from when I swapped them out of my center.

So, I have ONLY a 99 Cobra posi unit (carrier) for $100, free matching 3.27 gears if you buy. :)

OR, didn't really want to sell this as I was saving this for a spare housing for my car, realizing now it's what you are looking for, I do have a COMPLETE IRS center section from a Mark VIII, 3.27 OPEN, 28 spline, but I paid $150 for it a couple years ago and that doesn't include shipping I paid on it, something like $30+? Anyway, if you really need one, $150. The vent nipple on the cover was broken off before I received it, presses in/out.
