02 Mustang GT Project Now underway!!!!!

Just ordering a DSS Shortblock. This is going to be fun! Will post pics when I get it and take pictures of my build. Just will take a week or two :)

Any particular reason you went with DSS ?? Just curious is all.....

Price, warranty, good reviews, and not they are not that far away. They have been doing the modulars long enough that from what I have read, they are stout engines.

It has a mp t70. It ran great with the stock motor but I had a piston let go on me

well, I go to the dyno for the second time Wednesday, stupid O2's messed it up the first time. Now that's fixed, hopefully it will take a good tune and make some power.

I didn't think it was too bad with just one GT Supercar Pump. If I had the Dual Pump setup, I could have increased the boost and made some insane power. But I am very happy for now

man, I made a light pass on the interstate through 3rd gear and thought the car was going to take flight. A guy in a T/A pulled up next to me and shouted with a thumbs up. He said he tried and he couldn't keep up :) It was cool. :D. It's definately alot more fun now than it was with the blower.

went to Automatic and reworked the hotside of my turbo kit. I redisigned it like the pony down kits. Alot better setup.

ok guys, got the auto in and working enough to drive. I am now installing my cobra tank w/Fore hat, Fore Fuel Rails, 8an lines w/ dual supercar pumps. Should sold all my fuel needs for a while. :)

its gotta be easier than swapping out a tranny lol most of that is bolt on. the intake not bad on an N/A car im not sure how it will be with a turbo set up

well just an update to the current build.

I traded the TrickFlow intake for the Edelbrock and all the parts that go with it.

here is a pic of the intake and the upper elbow and spacers that I have added to make it work. I made both the spacers and I hope they work out when I go get the car dyno'ed.

Other than the intake I have been just cleaning up and painting some of the engine bay. Just trying to make it all look good.

Well, it's been a while since I posted any updates. I just got a set of wheels and dropped my engine off to Barker Machine and Fab. So hopefully in few weeks I can get my car back together and make some power, that is after I get over to S & M and get a tune. But here are the wheels. I hope I like them when the car is down off the jack stands. I am picky as hell on how my car looks :D.

Yeah but what's bad is that I have decided to go with a bigger turbo. So right now I am installing everthing and if I can sell the one on my car, I can get the one I want. ...lol

I got the hood on and I have got just about everthing together, I just have to rigth not hook up the exhaust, drive shaft and some grounds for the engine. It's been a crazy deal. ohhh... and I may have to buy a different hood as well. :( My plenum is right up against the hood with probably 1cm of clearance...lol

just as an update to the build thread, I found that one of my heads has a bent valve. Now I had to pull the engine again and am currently working to have that fixed. Other than that, the engine is all good :)
