Ok I just got everything together and went to start my car yesterday and I heard the fuel pump was coming on when i turned the key on. then today the fuel pump won't on. I grounded the self test thing in the engine compartment and the fuel pump comes but only when the key is off as soon as I turn the key on the fuel pump stops.(is this whats supposed to happen when I ground the self tester) So my question is what could have caused this to happen?:dunno:

Will it start? The fuel pump won't come on if it has the correct pressure in the lines

Its either the relay under the seat or the relay under the kick panel by the computer. Either way they take the same relay

I thought if the pump came on when I grounded the self test that it wasn't a relay

Could be the ignition switch. They are known to go bad on fox bodies and cause wierd issues. The fuel pump relay should be under the driver's seat....it's pretty easy to test with a short jumper wire.

I'm 90% sure its the relay by the computer
