My weekend...............................

Wasn't a fun one.

I had an appointment @ 6:00 am, to have angiography. For those who don't know what it is, it is a catheter that is inserted in the groin area. From there, a line is run up to the heart and iodine dye is injected into the arteries, so that they can be seen with special x-ray machines. I had it done in '05 and it was okay.

Of course, this time, it wasn't. Significant blockage was found. I didn't mention that the procedure was being done at West Chester Medical Center. They can to the angiography, but that is all. So, a nice little ambulance ride, to Christ Hospital.

I arrive at CH, about 10:45am. In the cath lab at 12:20pm and out at 1:35. Two stents were inserted. I get to lay flat on my back, for 6 hours, with a dressing over the insertion point (kind of like wearing a girdle). Spend the night, so they can keep tabs on vitals and they released me Saturday around 11:30am.

I'm home now. I feel fine, but I'm restricted from work. Hopefully I can go back to work next week.

Definatly sounds like not much fun...but be very glad they caught a problem before it became a serious issue.

Wow, glad they caught it and it was limited to that procedure, it's not as invasive as a bypass. Hope you heal up quickly.
My weekend? besides being up for 48 hours straight and rocket attacks, not much went on.

Damn Jeff glad to hear you are doing better, I spent a week in the heart center at mercy last month went in with chest pains. Went through every procedure and tests they do and they didnt find a thing wrong.

Yeah there has been several peeps in my family with heart attacks and some that died from heart attacks. I'm seeing the same heart Dr. that my Dad sees.
