Went over to a buddies house today and pampered the Mystic. I would first like to give a big thanks to Mike for his help. Now onto the steps.

First was a good wash and dry. Next we clayed the entire car, which took a full 80 gram clay bar. After claying, due to the heavy swirls in the paint, we ended up using PB SSR 2.5 with an orange pad to pull most of them out. Then we used PB Pro Polish followed up with some PB EX Sealant. We was going to try some PB Black Hole Glaze, but we got started late and ran out of time. Once the Sealant cures, I will be applying 2 coats of PB Nattys Blue followed by 2 coats of Nattys Red Wax. All in all I am very pleased with how the Cobra looks now. The colors seem to be more noticeable, and it doesnt look like a 190k mile car anymore ::bigthumb

Looks amazing! Just out of curiousity, what kind of buffer/polisher are you using? I am in the market for a nice random orbital polisher to work some minor swirls out of the Cobra.

Thanks everyone, I still have a few little things to do like get the tail pipes to a mirror finish, but overall I was happy with the results.

Thanks for the info! That is the exact polisher I was looking at getting, or the Griot's Garage 6" RO polisher. heard great things about both.

I have the Porter Cable as well. Definitely worth the money. You can pick them up at Lowe's too. And pretty sure Smyth paint center still carries the pads for them.

Looks great. With something like a Mystic, you have to keep that paint in good shape since people are always staring at it!

I ran my Porter Cable over the woman's 7 yr old/125K mile car last weekend- I just hit it with 2 passes of Klasse cleaner wax stuff. It's amazing what those machines and a few hours can do. Her car hadn't been waxed in a long time- if ever. Now it just gleams like it were new.
