I highly recommend steering clear of HH Gregg. Bought a 50" Samsung Plasma from them in January with their 3 year warranty plan. First one was dead within 4 hours. Would shut itself off and not turn back on for hours. Had them bring out another one(not without major hassle mind you). This tv has had a bunch of pixelation and a serious problem with "ghosting" of images. Tech came out and replaced the logic board and adjusted some things. Seemed better for the first hour. Then it just got extremely worse. You have Green, Blue, and Red pixels popping up all over the place.I call the repair company again and the tech comes here basically not knowing what to do. He says he will have to call Samsung and talk to their techs. Well no longer than 5 mins after he walks out my door I call his company and they say well he has already ordered a power supply and a couple other parts for it. There is NO WAY he talked to Samsung about anything within 5 minutes. So basically he is just throwing parts at my 6 month old television. Get a call today saying he is on his way(NEVER made a appt for this.) I tell him he is going to have to make an appointment with us and not just assume someone will be home because I was just about to leave. I have been talking to HH Gregg for over a week now and they're trying to just get a new TV out to us but the loopholes they have to jump through are just ridiculous. One guy talks to a manager, that manager has to talk to Corporate, Corporate has to have it go through someone else to have a group of people make a decision. I WILL NEVER buy anything through HH Gregg again and if you buy a extended warranty make sure they do not use Electra Sound from Sharonville to fix things......

Same problem as well bro. We bought a 50" Panasonic TV from HH Gregg last year. And within 3 months one of the boards was going out. So we called them up to use the 3 year extended warranty. They sent out Electra Sound and the guy who came out scratched the black border that goes around the screen all up on the carpet. He takes it apart and says we need a whole new board and screen. So he then only puts 4 screws back in it and throws the rest of them in a bag inside the TV. We receive a call a week later and they say they need our TV for a week and they can't give us a loaner. I said BS you aint getting it unless you give me a loaner. I called HH Gregg and they said it was beyond their control. Electra Sound told me that it's Panasonic's issue. I call Panasonic 3 different times and sit on hold for over 30 minutes and have hung up each time. Tv apparently fixed itself because it has been working fine for the last 9 months(knock on wood). I haven't followed back up with those idiots since.

The guy from Electra Sound seemed like he was VERY new to this although he said different. While adjusting things on it he had to keep referring to a couple pages you could see he clearly printed off from the net. But as I was sitting there watching him the pictures on the paper did NOT match what the inside of my tv looks like. He kept going from one spot to another trying to figure it out. And while he was here he made a comment on how he gets paid more to put parts in than to diagnose a problem. That comment and finding out he had ordered like 3 more parts WITHOUT talking with a tech from Samsung set me off. I immediately called HH Gregg and now Im getting the run around with them. Im about to call their corporate office myself and demand my money back on the TV and the warranty and go to Best Buy. I mean who in their right mind would want a 6 month old plasma that has had everything in the case replaced by a tech that clearly doesnt know wtf he is doing?

Soooo had the tech come back out today and install a new power supply and main board. Did not fix the problem. The tech calls me back after he left and says they have authorized for the screen to be replaced. I called HH Gregg, they sent me to Corporate, who in turn sent me to Samsung. Now Im waiting for them to get the paper work from this hack at Electra Sound before they can make any decisions. Oh and for HH Gregg and their Lemon policy, its a bunch of bs. Still have a 6 month old Plasma with red, green, and blue dots appearing randomly and ghost images constantly.

Damn that sucks guys. Not what I wanted to hear, I just bought a Samsung LED LCD tv from them about 6 months ago with the 5 year extended warranty. Keeping my fingers crossed, about all you can do these days. I heard Best Buy is even worse.

Sorry to hear the troubles with H.H.Gregg.I had similar issues with them also.I bought all new kitchen apliances ,Stove, dishwasher, frig and microwave.Within a 8 1/2 months the diswasher quit.I had extended warranties on all of them.So I called H.H Gregg and was told contact the manufacturer who carries the first 12 months of warranty. No Problem ,well yes it was as I was told from the salesman"if you have any issues whatsoever call us and we'll be glad to take care of it"Wrong..I fought with the manufacturer for 3 months. They sent a local tech from somewhere around here and said it was a bad main board. He orderd it 3 weeks later it showed up at my house.Contacted them and he returned a few days later(5) only to find it didnt fix it! Then he says the main harness is faulty. So,ordered it,3 weeks (out of japan) and he (again about 5 days)returns out only to find that didnt fix it.Then he throws he hands in the air and says dont know and says to call the manufacturer back and let them know he wasted my time LOL..
So more than 3 months (almost 4) without a dishwasher(4 kids,mother-n-law- and a elderly great aunt who we take care of,both my wife and I work full time and 2 oldest daughters work partime.WE manganed, but damn, pay all that money for the stuff and then pay a crapload for warranties only for them to point fingers at who should take car of it.
WE finally received a new dishwasher by the manufacturer, nothing like the one we had.It works the same though.
I will not shop at Florence H.H.gregg store. The salesman will tell you whatever it takes to get you to buy the product. After that all bets are off.

I would be very upset.
I hate to heard that. I always had good experience with H&H Greg. I bought all my kitchen appliances, washer & dryer, TV, camera's from H&H Greg. I rarely buy the extended warranty but I did on my washer and it messed up. I called and they sent a guy out 3 days later he took it apart and fixed it no hassles. This is the only warranty work I have had.
You guys should write a letter and sent it to H&H Greg, manufacture company and the service company . Let them know how displeased you are with their services.

Sometimes this does work. A well reasoned letter to the corporate office can produce some positive results--not always, but it may be worth the time.

Well according to HH Gregg's policy if they try to repair the same problem more than 3 times they have to replace the item with a similar model. If I dont hear back from Samsung today Im going to demand they replace my TV under the lemon law policy. If that doesnt work I will be in touch with Howard Ain and reporting this to the BBB. Ive spoke with 3 different people at the executive level at HH Gregg's corporate office. They do NOTHING but send me to Samsung.
You know... I used to work for rent a center and the prices were high if you purchased on payments but our repair policy was the shit. If you had a big plasma thats what you got as a loaner. The repairs were fast and we made sure the customer was happy. Now I know that we did this just so we would have repeat buisness and referrals AND so that payment would be made on time..... BUT isn't that whats its all about. customer service like that... even from a place like that.

FINALLY got this taken care of today. After sitting on the phone for a hour, Samsung finally agreed to exchange for another TV. I swear, if I have a problem with this next TV I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again.

I will give Samsung one thing. They have not outsourced their customer service to different countries and you can actually understand the people you talk to when you call them. Out of the 5 or 6 different people I spoke with there, none of them had any sort of accent.

I own an appliance repair company locally..........We DO NOT service TV's just major appliances......We do Samsung under warranty, BUT I just dis-continued them yesterday due to the support and length of time it took to get parts!! It would tie our hands when a part would take 3 weeks! I agree completely ridiculous! I only employ the top technicians, but I do on the other hand pay more for them..........In the long run it saves me money and provides a customer experience second to none.......We are 1 of 3 service companies that service HH Gregg contracts. There is 1 national company that services them too, but I know you get better service if you demand the locals handle it! Just my 2 cents! ;) Let me know if I can help in anyway..............I know of a few "big wigs" for HH Gregg locally..........

They actually werent too bad about getting the parts to the repair company but this guy was just throwing parts at the TV hoping something would fix it. They called me today telling me the screen for my TV came in and wanted to set up another date to install the screen even though I called them the day Samsung agreed to exchange the TV and told them to cancel the order since they were doing so. They got shitty with me and told me they would have to set up a date to come and take out the parts they already installed and put the old parts back in, that Samsung would want their parts back. I told them they were outta their minds and no one from their company would set foot on my property again, that Samsung will be getting their parts back with the whole damn TV and hung up on them. Electra Sound and their employee's are only out for ONE thing and thats your money..... If you know some "big wigs" you need to inform them about them. Im positive Im not the only one they have dicked around. I mean the guy even sat here and told me how he gets paid more money to install parts instead of diagnosing the real problems......... If you want me to Ill private message you the name of the repair tech that came out here all 4 times.
