Keep them coming and I might as well tell u my build....

Block= ark Teksid from a Mark VIII Lincoln
Crank stock cast crank(as they seem to be rated to 500 to 600hp w/ some machining
Flat top pistons (Brand unknown as of yet) any ideas what works?

Heads will be 2 valve 38cc trick flows . I should have 13.5 to 14 to 1 comp ratio

I will be using E85

Edelbrock carbed intake and controller

Demon E85 Carb

I was gonna go dohc route but after looking at cost to go to the 500 hp mark seems a bit expensive and its bulk is a bit of a hinderance. It interferes with the dual master cyl I want to run. I tested fitted already.....
and yes I have a nice ustang II frt suspension....

I have talked to another guy who built something simular and he has 424rwhp...... If I get 380 up Ill be happy. My car is very lite and that is another reason I went SOHC I plan on weighing the long block and it fully dressed to compareand for those that wanna know.....

Anyway I am now in a posistion to eally start gettin er done....

Sounds like a very cool project. No personal experience with machine shops yet but I know BES has been building engines for some of the top mod motor racers in NMRA.

i've heard good things about Barker, but as for personal experience i could not ask for any more quality for the price than Bischoff (BES). i race NMRA factory stock and just won the last event in MI (qualified number one). If you are familiar with the class we do a lot with a little and tony definately was a big part in that. At the very lease talk to him about some cam specs.:cool1:

I highly recommend BES, Tony will get you took care of. Steve Barker is also a great builder himself. You can't really go wrong with either of them ;)
