Hi, I have a 96gt all stock except for exhaust. I noticed my fan doesn't kick on until the guage is almost to the 'a' in 'normal'. Any ideas?

your fan runs off a thermostate on top of the intake. You may want to check thats its not corroded up. just take it out and check it and possibly replace it. I have had this problem a long time ago.
