well my uncle is retarded and was having trouble with his 03 dodge 1500 and he poured gas down the tb before i got there and while he turned the motor i reached over and grabbed the throttle and opend it and got a spark from somewhere and it exploded in my face. I was literally on fire for 10 feet or so. Im just glad i shut my eyes and held my breath. The impact was enough to blow my glasses 15 feet from where i was

I'm not sure what degree but i've been burned black before to where it didn't hurt at all....those are the burns you know are really serious because the nerve endings are destroyed. It's the healing that's a real SOB.

Back in our Rocker hay-day, we aroked for a band. My friend was in charge of the pyro stuff. While loading a flash pot the igniter was armed and set the powder off ih his face. Took him to the hsopital and he had 2nd degree to the face. Happened on a Saturday he was at work on Monday.

im stuck at home due to the dust and heat since i work in melting department with molten aluminum. I guess they dont want me getting infected with my blisters still busting over. Not to mention being on forktruck carrying molten metal while on painkillers

Oh nasty. Is this a casting plant? I have one for a customer. THe place is over 100 years old they say. Very nasty. The brain trust there deicded to put a 1/2 million dollar CNC Laser center out in the open area in the foundry and wonder now why it needs so much work comparedto the other one sitting in the machine shop. Go figure.

I would say they may have you out for quite some time if that is the environment you work in.

Back when I was 17 I was a cook at Bill Knapps. I had a deep fryer explode in my face. I had 2nd degree burns to the whole right side of my face, mouth, neck, chest and shoulder. I was a mess for about 3-4 weeks. I used the burn cream and the pain meds that the hospital prescribed me everyday for the first couple weeks. I was wrapped up like a mummy for 2 weeks as well before I was allowed to remove the guaze and stuff.

I really feel for you, I had 2nd degree burns but it was only on my hands from 400 degree oil last year. I just remember for at least few weeks I could not get my hands near any heat sources. I hope that you're able to heal quickly.
