I and a few others were headed to the track to watch but ended up stuck at a stand still in traffic on 275.Lucky I made it to the peterburg exit,fliped around and ended up at the moives with my 11 year old daughter to see eclipse..Wanted to be there though..:D Nice pics,what camera you using?...

Thanks guys, didn't have much time to take pics but maybe I will next time. I shoot with a Nikon D200 with a basic all around 18-200 Nikon VR lens. These shots are darker than i would like, wasnt paying any attention to the ISO setting.

I really like to shoot at E20 minus dealing with those damn orange cones in the reflections of the cars.:( Are you using an exteral flash or are you using the flash that is on the camera?

Yeah the cones suck, I was standing a couple rows up at that point and zoomed into about 135mm. The lens I use right now has sever light falloff after 135mm so that's my limit most of the time. And I don't have an external flash yet, def my next purchase, need it badly.

Take a look at the SB-600 is an awesome flash and it is not to expensive either.

I saw a Mustang banged up pretty bad on the driver side door and quarter window as we were leaving in the Cougar. That's ashame.. It is a nice Mustang. So, a deer jumped onto the track?? Really?

Yeah the deer jumped right onto the track in the shut down area. He was the car right in front of me, I got lucky!

Thanks for the reply, My wife wanted to know about the deer too.. that is really ashame. Anything can happen on the strip, but a deer in the shut down area is not cool.

Yea, a new one from B and H is 219 bucks. Well worth it over the pop flash.
