It seems this Merkur i bought has developed an ignition problem. If i ease into the throttle it pulls to 6000 rpm smoothly. If i stomp the gas it will pull until 4000 rpm then miss like crazy like the spark is being blown out. I dont know if the turbo is upgraded or not but boost doesnt come on strong until 3200 and will bury the factory boost gauge at 25psi @ 6000. I am new to the 2.3 t scene and dont know where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

You need to run Motorcraft plugs and wires, it's a most! Set plug gap around .030. If it's a stock turbo it should be a T3. they come on a little later in RPM I hear. I'm currently running a IHI (smaller than a T3) Check out (Turboford.net) forums, it's full of 2.3 turbo info. When running correct the 2.3 turbo are fun to drive.

+1! Sounds like you are blowing out the spark, unless you did a tune up yourself after you bought it...replace the plugs and ensure they are gapped properly.
