Because they spent years testing and designing their new body style and 5.0 motor, then an import strikes back with the same liter motor with more power and a car with less weight.

Yeah and i believe BMW has a V6 that makes the same power NA...what's the point? There's more to it than HP numbers, as i was trying to point out. The Camaro and Challenger both have more hp and tq than the 5.0 and look at every test that's been done..the GT hands both of them their asses. If the Genesis can do it to all 3 of them then kudos to them, we'll just have to see.

That was my thoughts. Even if those numbers are right and they put it in the car they SAY they might its only 17 *#cking hp. Also what RPM does it make that horse and what is the average across the whole RPM range. To much info missing for anyone to sh*t talk yet IMO.

If I remember right Ford designed the engine from scratch, built it and tested it in 2 years. Thats actually very good.

I really hope they relase a big chopped competitor, thats what gives us gradually better cars. If Gm and Chrysler didn't throw their hats back in the ring the S197's would still be sporting 300hp.

Wow I can't imagine anyone not being impressed driving the best stock stang made to date. My car would kill one in the staights and I was still very impressed with everything it did.

I think it's kinda sacreligous, there can only be one 5.0 liter engine company ever. I'll always be detroit, no imports for me unless it has a detroit v8 shoehorned in it. Just my .02 though... Now all the honda, DSM, and nissan guys will be jumping ship like they are on the titanic just to get the new biggest motor'ed import to try to "finally " get around all those muscle cars that keep embarassing them.
