Just curious I'm gathering parts and after looking at all the flow numbers the windsor sr's flow just as good if not better than most heads out there... just curious if anyone is running them, what engine combo, kinda numbers your making etc........ thanks in advance!

347 w/flowtech custom ground cam, it had victor jr.'s and a holly systmax intake and it put down 390.... I'm looking for similar numbers but not really in a position to shell out 1500 for heads..... any suggests would be more than welcomed.....

Have the SR's been ported at all? If not...don't think you gonna see the same ballpark #'s that your 347 made with the vic jr's. The SR's have alot of potiential if fully ported..but there are alot better aluminum heads on the market that are cheaper than the cost of the port work.

so basically if I want similar numbers then I should just save up and get the Vic Jr's or is there a better head for similar money?

I could swear someone on here had some Sr's that were ported and flow benched at 320cfm but i guess that's not really the same. I'm wanting some AFR 185s but i'm poor :(

Eh, i kinda get a kick out of running my old school heads.

David I was checking out that flow sheet you gave Kenny and I thought it read the windsor sr's flowed about as good if not better than the Vic Jr's maybe I read it wrong.... what heads are you running

I'm running hogged out '69 Windsor heads. I could be wrong but i think there are 2 different "Windsor Sr" heads....World Products make some and so does Dart but i think they're the same company maybe? Someone set me straight on that..

DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!! LOL

I'd much rather have a '68 fastback or a 71-73 fastback... but a good ole '65 with a 289 Hi-Po/T5 would do nicely

I've already got a period correct '65 289 from a mustang, and a C4 lol

So you would rather take on a huge project than spend 1500 on a set of heads?

I feel ya on that one... I have a rough time passing up a deal........... and I think taking on a project for the other love of my life would be worth it.. it's not like my car isnt running or driving I just want to make it go faster eventually....... if the 65 even came about it would sit for aleast a year but heck you can't hardly buy a 65 coupe in the same shape for that kinda money
