I got word yesterday that my friend and fellow NKYFBA club member Steve Wheatly had passed away from injuries suffered during a single car accident. It was a shock to hear it as we were just talking and laughing Friday night at our cruise-in.

Please keep him and his family members in your prayers this weekend. His wife also asked that if you would like to do something for them you could make a donation to the Wood Hudson Cancer Research Laboratory in Newport Ky. or come to the car show at Crestview Town Center that is supporting Wood Hudson.

BUTLER - Steven Wheatley, 48, died June 15 in Pendleton County as a result of an automobile accident.

He worked for Jacob Engineering and was a member of the Northern Kentucky F-Body Association.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Saturday, June 19, with services at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 20, at Peoples Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pendleton County.

Thanks guys.

The family had us lead the procession to the cemetery to take him on one last cruise with the group. Both days stayed clear so we could get our cars out and rev them up for one last time in his honor
