Supercharged my Saleen

Finally got the supercharger installed over the weekend. Special thanks to Brian Winsett, owner of the donor car! Also thanks to AJ (03SVT) for putting us in contact with each other. We had a few hiccups, but for the most part it went farely smooth. I had to scavenge more little parts of of his car than originally planned, so now he has some motivation to finish his 4v! It's a Saleen Series I (Eaton M90). While it's no Terminator, it is quite a big jump from an N/A 2v.

I have a guy at work that has a k&n intake for a 03 cobra. If it would fit your set up I'm sure you could ge it for 100 bucks.

Wow, so winset let his supercharger go? Wow, I am surprised by that. His 4V was in my shop being torn down for a while. His car is very sweet looking.

Yeah, it is tuned. JDM engineering in New Jersey made a tune file. I have an SCT X3. It needs tweaked a bit, it seems to "search" for an idle at a stop. We had a problem where Brian's EGR tube was badly cross threaded to the point it almost did not come off. So we deleted it on my car. I have a CEL, due to this. JDM built the tune as open so it can be modified. I need to call them and see if I can shut off EGR with X3 or if they need to modify the tune file. I'm hoping Dayton Perf. can help me tweak it and make the most power. It has 42# injectors, 90 mm MAF, and makes 9# of boost.

Yeah, Brian hated to get rid of it, but he is wanting to get the 4v finished. I put his 2v on Craigslist. It has 36,000 miles on it and ran perfect. I'm gonna clean it up and take some better pics.

Sweet, Progress is always good! How is the car now?

Should be no problem to do EGR delete on your tuner. I was thinking that it was an embedded option to turn on/off within the tune custom changes area. Then again that may be a Diablo option. Can't remember, but it can be done during the tuning either way.

I called JDM who did my tuning, it can be turned off through my Xcal 3. Aj and I tried to turn them off but it is not an option on my tuner. We believe I need a software update as I sent it back to SCT to have the turbo contour wiped from it's memory. The car runs good. My laptop has the HIV, so I need to get it fixed before I can update my software.

Lol, I can do the tune up for ya, no worries. mail order tunes are hard to get exact and it's so easy on a dyno to get it right quickly. Just get with Donna and set up a time to get it in.

Cool, What do you charge? I think the tune is really close..i'm sure it's pig rich. My computer will be done Monday, then I will update my SCT software. How long do you think it will take..an hour?

Rich you moved to Franklin Twp? I knew you had moved but didn't know where. Also, concerning the supercharger, how much do you have invested in this setup if you don't mind I ask?
