RIP Mercury. I don't know if this is a surprise to anyone or that anyone really cares since Mercury hasn't had an original car that wasn't a rebadged Ford in years.

Yeah, The writing has been on the wall with Merc. I don't know how long it's been since they actually made any $$.

Happens when all you do is rebadge a vehicle and sell it for more. Thats all Pontiac was, just a rebadged Chevy with no real styling changes. Buick, recently, at least made quite a bit of effort to make the cars that are built on the same chassis look different than their Chevy conter parts.

I'm gonna buy me a mer.....oh wait just kidding.
Well Merc did take the mariner a step further. Ours is way nicer than an escape. I like the escape but the mariner premiere was just a much better version of anything ford would do. All in all I doubt it will be missed. Just wanted to stick up for our mariner.. lol

I still wouldnt mind owning a Grand Marquis... I like the grill and taillights on it. Of course that can all be added to a Crown Vic... which... also isnt made anymore... hmm all the darn v8 rwd cars are dying...
