View Full Version : How do you beat up a midget?

So, there's this racer at the track. He's like 5'2" so he's not TRULY a midget. However, I'm 6'4" so.... yeah, might as well be. So for like the 10th time since last year the guy is trying to actually pick a physical fight with me. I kid not. He gets all up in my... well, I almost said face, but it's more like my chest. He gets all mouthy and acts like he wants to fight. He actually reminds me of one of those little yapper dogs.
What the hell do you do with that? You know as soon as you give him what he wants you've already lost... cause... well, you beat up a midget. No one likes a dude that beats up midgets.

Thank you! That's exactly what I said. I shouldn't explain why, but I'm not allowed to kick this dickweed out.
Here's another thing he did. Everyone knows we've got an injunction that says we can't be on the track during the week. Last time, it cost Jerry Meyer $15,000 between lawyer fees and fines. This guy know that's VERY well.
But he goes down to the track on a Thursday (like 2 weeks ago) and races his street car down the track. He's been drinking (words right out of his mouth) and hits a goose on the track. Well, he kills the goose and busts his running light and turn signal. I go down there the next day and there are all the shards of plastic from his car still all over the track. On top of the fuck witted idea of being on the track at all, he leaves that crap on the track to slice up someone's tires!
Last year, he was racing an SUV with tinted windows. During eliminations I see him coming back the return road and as he passes me I notice HE'S GOT A LITTLE KID strapped in the back seat! He couldn't have been more than about 18 months old. I was bent WAY out of shape. Reemed his ass royally! I wanted to ban him but was over-ruled then too.

This story reminds me of the pee-wit in that movie "The Green Mile". You know, the Percie I thnk was his name. He had an Uncle who worked for the Governor.
This guy sounds like he fits that criteria with about 60 fewer points in IQ and about 3" shorter than that actor was to boot. Chances are if you follow your gut and kick the crap out of him he will go sqeal to his connection and his lawyer and you'll be the one hosed, unfortunately. Continue to pursue the ban issue.
As for the child in the back of the truck, you could call social services and report him. THat is what should honestly by done in this case.

It's that guy Chris....He should have been banned over the goose incident alone. I don't care who's race car he drives down there....he would be gone. Is it going to take him hurting himself/someone else/track property damage/fines to actually get him booted?

The same way you'd beat the crap out of someone your own size, you pound him in the head :boxing:....but wear a cup
Seriously though, getting in a fight will make things worse with a drama queen like this guy. Just do your job and what you are supposed to do and leave the rest up to who has the power/authority to ban the clown. Dont let him get your undies in a bunch, sounds like a real loser. :punch:

I would never actually hurt the guy, there's nothing he can do to me. It's just the point really, and it's getting downright ridiculous. Some of the stuff he does it just petty, and it pisses me off, but I let it go BECAUSE it's just petty. For instance, I'm the only guy that touches the timing system. Every inch of it has been replaced and re-cabled between last year and this, and I did all of it. New computer, new timing box, new cabling, rebuilt sensors, etc. Everyone knows this. Yet he'll post and say things to piss me off like, "Eddie has finally got the timing system worked out." Eddie doesn't touch the timing system, and he knows that
I know he does it to try to get under my skin, so I just thanked him for the compliment on the timing system even tho he mistakenly credited the wrong person lol. This guy has seriously got to go tho. I just keep wondering how long the track would be open if the courts hit us with another fine and lawyer fees over the goose incident. Or if something had happened when he had that kid in the car. This guy represents a HUGE risk and my hands have been tied to do a thing about it. It's nuts.

I have considered just grabbing him, shaking him really hard, and scaring the shit out of him. I would worry about shaken baby syndrome tho....

You know, for some reason I don't even think that would do it.

You know, a training collar might not be a bad idea. It would be funny as hell anyway.

lol... I don't race at Thornhill. I'd like to say I manage it, but there are some things I don't have the power to resolve. This happens to be one of them.

Man all i'm gonna say is big things come in small packages. I learned it the hard way. Got in a fight with this kid once when i was younger, he was half my size, maybe about 5' 2'' or so...he walked away with a black eye and a busted lip, i walked away with a broken nose. Little guys aren't always pushovers.

X2...Size means absolutly nothing, dont ever underestimate your opponent. Even though it sounds like this prick does deserve a beating.

You might give the local law enforcement a call as he departs from the track....nothing like a good breathalizer!
Seriously - Legally, as an employee of the track you are responsible to see that all rules are maintained no matter who it is. If something would happen and you were involved you could be held personally liable. If you enforce a rule and are overridden by the owner, etc. - document the occurance. If it continues it might be time to pack your bags and move on (if nothing else it makes a strong statement). One "little" prick can ruin it for everyone.

He might be hoping you touch him. He then files an assault charge, followed by a civil suit naming you and the track as defendants. It happened to my son when he was working as a bouncer at a nightclub in Baltimore several years ago. It cost me $12K in attorney fees before the civil suit was dismissed.

I would go straight to the track owner and explain the "midget" is a liability and should not be allowed on the property EVER again.
If he threatens you again and you have credible witnesses, call the cops and fill charges. This should protect you if he does try to come at you at a later time.
Or just do this.....

This guy drives the owners 67 Chevelle at the track. I wasn't going to say that, but he said it himself on a local forum 2 nights ago to give himself credibility when he accused me of stealing money from the track. This is just getting out of hand....

Put a tape recorder in your pocket and let the owner listen to his mouth .If the owner is a stand up guy he should take care of it after hearing him run his cocksucker . Which track you at maybe there needs to be a unidentified party involved . We now know to look for a short fellow driving a 67 Chevelle .

Oh, he knows... and every time we talk about it he says, "Next time he gets out of line, kick him out just like anyone else." Next time rolls around (which is nearly every weekend) and he never lets me kick his ass out.
Even had a conversation about how the rules have to apply equally to everyone.
27. Threatening or verbally abusing track staff will be cause for disqualification, ejection, possible banning from the track facilities at the discretion of management.
And it's Thornhill. Lil dude is ridiculous... if I didn't have other irons in the fire I swear to God I'd just walk out next time.

Kick his ass out and then let him bitch to the owner.
That way the owner has to deal with him. Notice I didn't say tell the owner before you kick him out.

Well, things went really smooth tonight actually. I was told he'd be on his best behavior, and I guess he was.
I gotta say though, I did laugh a bit because he lost in the 2nd round, bought back for the 3rd and then missed the call to the lanes. We ran without him. lol

It was one of those things too, where we waited probably waited extra time so I didn't get accused of doing it just because it was him. We called over the PA that we were missing a driver... we need 10 cars and only have 9... that last driver needs to get to the lanes... etc.
I did hear though that when he was told that he missed the call, he threw a temper fit and swore he'd never be back. Then got in his car and went home. Promises, promises.

It sure seems that you have tried, and have done the right thing in this situation. If he is drinking and racing, and the owner overrides you, then there is nothing you can really do. Even though the strip has rules, it is his private property. If you get wind he's drinking and racing (again).. then have an officer wait as he leaves (private property) onto the public road and they can pull him over and breathalize his a**. I know someone has already said the same thing, but this is the best way to put a damper on his racing if loses his license. Once he either loses or gets his license suspended, then you will have every recourse to not allow him to run his vehicle. He can spectate and if he drinks, at least he won't be driving or racing and endangering many lives. Good luck.
