My 92 5.0 auto tried to kill me i went thru a fence almost a house fkd the car all up and got a big ticket this has never happen with none of my mustangs. Has anyone ever experienced this the floor mat was not stuck. I was kicking the gas pedal still would not release. I had my foot barried in the brakes and the car was still going tryed turnig the wheel but it was not happing the car kept shooting straight:confused:. Like i said this has never happen i was looking at the throttle cable but looks fine. If anyone could give me a few ideals id be happy and really appreciate it.

I have had this happen when i used to repo cars. Its a messed up feeling. Your either going to forget all about reasonable thought or your going to cut the engine off. Until it happens to you... you have no idea. Glad your for the most part ok. Could have gone a lot worse.

push the clutch in or shifter into neutral and let the motor blow.

"Just push in the clutch, and let the Som B*tch Blow Cole, it's over"

Are you sure this isn't a Toyota?

I had this happen in my Cherokee...turned out the block heater plug got caught under the throttle linkage. It was in about a foot of snow...it was a crazy ride for sure but i eventually came to my senses and put it in neutral and turned off the key.

Check the TPS sensor on top of the Throttle body. This happen to me once and I was fortunate that we were on a country rd and I had just taken off from a stop sign when it happened. My TPS sensor got stuck and all hell broke lose until I shut the car off right away.
