View Full Version : Been fixed?

I know I can't be the only guy here who is fixed. I go Friday. I have enough kids (or will have in about a month when the other 2 come out). So who else has had it done and what was the aftermath? sore for a day, week, how bad?

I have a full load of stuff in the shop to do right now I hope I am not "down" long. Having work backed up around here is rare and when it is here it needs to be done to make room for the next.
Last but not least lets hope it takes, my son is like a minature clone of me and I don't think the world can handle many more of me. I was already called "cocky" once today....I've been called worse.

I have had a few friends go through it. They said it hurt at first then within a day it was fine.

Frozen peas, are your friend!

You'll be fine, in a couple days. Hell, I felt fine the next day. Just don't lift much, for a day or two.

Like they said above, just plan on taking at least two days off even though you probably won't feel too bad after one.

I'm all about it. How much does it cost? I've got 2 kids and that's plenty. I even lucked out and got one of each and even a son the first try lol.

I had it done a couple years ago. You can get it done two ways. With anestesia at a hospital like I did or with just a local pain killer at your doctors local office. The hospital way cost me about $1500.

The hardest part was keeping the kids off of me for two-three days. Make sure you get tested afterwords to make sure you are shooting blanks. The peice of mind is pretty nice.

i had it done 3 years ago, i only felt a little bit of pain. but i made sure to enjoy my full week end of peace lol.

mine was done in the doctors office. i think the worst part was being invited to tail gate at the bangels game by my doctor lmao

I just had it done a month ago in office and I wished it only lasted the weekend. I felt like I had bad case of blue balls for a week afterwards. Still I went to work and did what I had to do.

my dog is going to be snipped this coming month. The wife said its time that they go. Hoping it will tone him down a bit.

Dang Alan.. you are making me cringe at the thought! So, the Ford Probe got to you that much that this is what it did to ya? LOL! Seriously, I hope you recover swiftly. Lot's of frozen peas and corn will help i'm sure. Talk with you soon buddy.

I had a friend who got chopped and he said his sack got all bruised and was a little swollen the first couple days but he was at work the day he had it done and it was a really physical job (lots of running up 4 flights of steps kind of work). I think a lot of it is just mental anxiety.

The probe won't go away! I should have turned that job down, aparently it needs an IAC, look that up 95 probe 2.0 dohc IAC..hint it is controlled by coolant. Key broke off when I tried to put the spare parts in the trunk. The sad part is the car is a piece of junk. I'm glad to have much nicer machinery on the lift now, if only Smyth's would come up with 90° 1/4male-3/8 inverted flare fittings for me. Surgery went ok I supposed. As good as having a man handle your balls for 20 minutes can get....yeah that part still wierds me out :P I'm atually glad it is over with.

had mine done 11 yrs ago on a Friday. One of the best decisions I ever made. Went to the bar and got a beer and a burger and hung out on the couch, back to work Monday with no problems. Don't be afraid, its no problem at all. You don't need anesthesia either, I only felt one pinch from the numbing medicine and 5 min later I was ready to leave with a bandaid on my sack..lol

No turning back now, I actually found reason number 2 to take the night off, sore balls....
Now back to the couch.

I had mine done 10 yrs ago. Said he had to dig to get to the tube on one side, so I would have more swelling and pain. Being a FF my job can be physical with alot of lifting. I was off for 4 days. I was real sore and bruised for 2 days. Third day I was walking with a little discomfort. 4th day I was ready to go. +100000 on the frozen peas!

I think the 3rd day is being the worst, not having a easy time with it today.
