hedge trimmers.....

well, just thought I would warn u all to be carefull using hedge trimmers lol. They can be pretty dangerous!!! I was trimming my bushes and me being a dumb @ss...i was trimming over top of my head and they got hung up..so I tried to jerk them out and they came at me. Well my instinct was to cover my face and they hit my finger. I slit my middle finger all the way to my first knuckle...broke 1/8" of my bone off.... I find out tomorrow if I have to have surgery or not :(. Just thought Ide warn ya guys LOL!!!

I astually did the same thing about 10 years ago. I did not need surgery but you can still see the scar on my little finger. I left the blood on the hedge trimmers to remind me to NEVER do that again.

I did something sorta like that when I worked for a landscaper/lawn service during summers when I was in college. Was using a gas powered hedge clipper while standing on a ladder trimming some 10'+ tall bushes. Nipped most of the tip of my middle finger off..but didn't hit bone. That took awhile to heal up. Also....do not cut right threw the middle of a hornets nest with said hedge trimmer unless you want the motivation to break the world 100m dash record.
