ok i have a 90 gt with a upr tubular k-member, tubular a-arms, coilovers, and upr caster camber plates. i have 17x9" cobra R's all the way around it, and the front are sitting right against the springs, even with the c/c plates all the way in...

any info, or has anyone else had this problem. thanks.

Is the car on the ground or on jackstands? It's going to be tight either way, but you will gain more clearance when the car is on the ground with a load as the wheels naturally pull away from the coilovers. You'll probably need to give the brake line bracket a little massaging as well.

Yea its sitting down with a load....its so tight that the car can't even drop all the way down....one problem is I have the stiffest springs made, and the car doesn't have a motor or trans in it...oh well...guess I'm gonna wait to see if it rubs...lol

When I went to 350lb springs they were a little thicker than the 175's and cuause a rub that is why I dropped down to a 225/45 tire. I could have put long stud in and ran a 1/8" spacer or two and gotten enough clearance to stay with the bigger tire.

I don't believe you can run 9" wide wheels on a fox with a tubular K member and coilovers.

Or at leasts that's how I got my 03/04 Cobras in trade for Bullitts. The fella was going to run coilovers and a tubular k member and couldn't have larger than an 8" wheel.

Yea I wanted to be able to cruise around on a bigger wheel...but I guess I'm going to have to sell what I got and get something else...

Without the proper backspacing you'd be correct. Lot's of guys run CCW's and other custom wheels with 9" or bigger up front without issue.

I run 18X9 03 cobras up front with your same setup without a problem. Its close on mine <1/8" clearance with the coilovers all the way down. It can be done, I may just have the right backspacing though....

Well the problem is if I run any more backspacing on a 9" wheel it will be skated out and look wierd. And 99saleen the reason you can run a wider wheel is cause your control arms are 1" longer than mine, and your entire car is 2" wider than mine...

it should be the same as your's. I have an 87 GT with T-tops now.....Not a 99 Saleen. I never changed my screen name :)

Here are some pictures of the 18x9's. 5.0calypso93lx is right about the brake line bracket. I had to cut the mid section out and weld the two ends together in order to keep it away from the spring.
