The car is very fast, just last weekend it ran 11.902 @ 114.52 MPH with a 1.640 sixty ft time...

The car could use a tune (little rich) and a few more suspension mods and would easily run 11.50's

I've only had the car for about a month and have spent alot of money and time into it repairing items and making it more streetable... I'm selling due to finacial problems. $6000

early 4thgens the low spoiler was standered and high spoiler was optional .. i think 95 or 96 the high spoiler was standered for the T/A

Should haver kept the hoosiers. It 60ft'd in the 1.5's on those. The car will run mid 11's on those. But it has ls1 injectors not 30lb

Hoosiers were dry rotted and i didnt trust them. I found a 11.99 @ 114 time slip, it was a 1.630 60'. I ran 11.902 @ 114 at tri state 2 weeks ago with a 1.640 60' and didnt spin.. Thanks for the info in injectors, I knew they were not 19's or 24's but wasnt forsure. Do you have the p/s for the car anymore?

The car will go 11.50s with the hoosiers back on it at around 116 to 117. It ran an 11.90@114.9 on bfgs laying on the rev limiter. You have got to shift it manually

I did shift it manually, and I didnt have any issues hooking or with the rev limiter, althought the spring in the governor needs changed, it shifts too high when you manually shift it. You can shift it at 5000 rpms and it still waits till 7000 to shift.. It would be even faster if I could get it to shift at 62-6500 range... I wish i had the money to have it tuned, change governor springs and change some suspension items and see what it can do, i think it has alot to gain with some fine tuning...

700r4 (has a detent cable)

He dont have the p/s for the car. He got it without it and I dont think the car ever got put back on it after the original guy built it. It's supposed to have a stock 4l60e with a Yank 32-3400 converter. Not real sure where the 700r4 came from unless someone changed it after Metcalf, which I HIGHLY doubt..

4l60e does NOT have a detent cable. This trans has one....

Its a 4l60e, I had the shift points changed in the middle of winter. You can't do that with a 700r. And the stock tack is off the car is shifting at 6400.

wonder why a cable is there? i havent traced it all the way down to the trans. I tried adjusting it and it changeed nothing, that is why i thought it was in the gov. The shift points are too high now, it pulls hard but noses over before it shifts and then takes off again..

I dont know why the cable is there but if he had it programmed, it has to be a 4l60e.. Im going to put it on the lift tonight and check it out closer... Thanks for everyones input...

Like I said I had it messed with late at night in the cold so I could race 98transam off srd. I just had him make it so it would stay off the limiter. But it does need a fine tune put on it and it will be crazy fast

It needs tuned bad. I took it real late at night and I was in a big hurry and when I left it was worse than when I took it. But it was my fault. They He told me to look for a vacum leak and after I found it he'd tune it. I told him to richen it up so I could get a race off and I never got to take it back. It is actually set up right now to stay in open loop. When it acts like it wants to load up thats when it switches into closed loop. It was never susposed to make that switch.......... to answer your question it could use a good tune

I'm late to the party but yeah it has a 4l60 non e virtually the same as a 700r4 but changed names with the body style change. Uses a TV cable to control pressure and shifting
