Well, since E20 got rained out, and I still need my racing fix for the weekend, I am heading up to Tri-State, Tri Bumps as Steve calls it, tomorrow and see what happens. I am sure it is going to be crowded, but at least its racing..........

The weather is going to be GREAT, High of 61 and Humidity of 30%, now all that equal HP. I will have to see if I can get better than a 11.70.

Anyone else going to head up??

I saw your 11.6x run, that GTP moves out. Didn't know I was going to run today but the weather was great. Hit my first 13 in the DD.

It was fun hanging out with you today, too bad the track was not hooking worth a darn.

Well, I wish I could say I ran a 11.6x, but the best today was only a 11.8x, due to not being able to get any traction. The best 60' that I saw today was a 1.82 and just last weekend I was able to get a 1.7 at E20. Maybe next Sunday I will get that 11.6 or even better I would love to get a 11.5. If I do that, I have made my goal for the year. From there on out, I will just run it and enjoy, knowing that I was able to get at least one 11.6 or 11.5.

Thanks for the complement though, I think that is why I stay with the GP, is that not alot of people expect to see the "grocery getter" pulling off 11's. Plus it's not "rice".

I was in the lanes when you were running, car sounded good and I could tell you were having traction issues. I still cant push my car the way I want to, it just wheel hops very bad if I mat it half way through first. I was able to pull a 12.17@ 117 today with a so so 1.90 60ft. Wish I was able to hang around more, just stopped in for a couple quick runs to see what the car would do.

Is this the one with the flames? I thought I heard people saying it was a mid 120s car?

Thanks, I was hoping to put my street exhaust on so that I could hear my S/C since I block the silencer ports this winter. It is MUCH louder now and I have not had a chance to open it up on the street.

I must say, I LOVED hearing your car come down the track, that S/C is Screaming like crazy, such a great sound, then as you pass all you hear is the exhaust, that is awsome for sure.

Honestly I was expecting it to trap around 120-122, based on other cobras with similar power. It needs to make a trip to Modular Depot for a good tune, every once in a while its falling on its face if you hit a gear and back into the throttle real hard. All 3 clean runs I trapped 116, 117 and 117.

Of course the car weighs 3975lbs with me in it. If I could ever launch the car and pull a 1.7X 60 foot without wheel hop it will be an 11.9X car but that wont happen til she gets the SRA swap.

Ya I feel ya. Last year I did 12.05@116 on DR's, and that was with a shitty 1.83 60'. A good 60' and I'da seen 11's.

With a 1.70 60' and a trap of 117 or better, you should be 11.7X easy. That is what I am seeing right now.

Nice shot, we put GTO spring blockers in the rear to try and prevent the back end from sagging so hard off the line. From a distance, it did raise the back up quite a bit. Still did not help much today though:rolleyes:

Yeah I really woundn't race a vert without one honestly, but that is just me. Probably wouldn't save my life if I wrecked doing 100+ but what the hell.

Nice times and pics!! I got a wild hair up my ass and went and raced bracket 2 at E20 last night. I managed to hang with the big boy automatics for 4 rounds with a buy back due to a red light. I did this to put some pressure on myself for UMTR this year which starts next week. It was quite comical to hear all the people down there talk about how I shift. I guess all these automatic guys that run in that bracket have never heard someone power shift a car. I just got caught sleeping in the 4th round and lost the race by .033 at the stripe. I had every car covered that I ran. I dialed the car in at a 11.49 and ran 2 11.50's, a 11.51 and a 11.53. I was going to go to tri state but I have heard nothing good the last few weeks everyone has went there.

I guess the 11.8x on the sign fooled me, you'll get it. I have a 03 cobra and you're doing a bit better than me. I went 11.9@118 last year. As for the grocery getter there is something more remember able about them. When I was in the red srt-4 in the pitting lane next to you I saw you were datalogging, I'm a bit new the concept I wonder if I could ask you some questions about it.

Got ya, I was a little off my game that day and was not feeling 100% for some reason, I can't beleive I was next to you and I did not look over. I am usually looking all over the place, oh well.

yeah, I try to log ever run to see how things are and make any adjustments if needed, well I should say one of my friends does the adjusting, since I am new to that part of. I wll be more than happy to help if I can, just let me know. If you ever go to E20, I am there alot, just look me up.
