Well guess I have to replace my rear main. I have been noticing a quarter size oil spot after a couple days of sitting.

has anyone had better luck with any perticular brand seal?

This is on a 93 Gt 331 with a small blower.

thanks in advance

adam

I just stuck a felpro in my new engine.

The '67 has a felpro seal in it too, and is dry.

use the cheap felpro one, i got the better felpro one that came with the cone installation style and it leaked, use the stock style that has the spring in it. just insure you lube it up good and be carefull installing it.

i think its more important how u install it more than what seal u use. the proper seal driver can be rented at A\Z for cheap or u can barrow mine.

remember it could be from the oil galley plugs, cam core plug, intake, or valve covers dripping down

has anyone ever heard of a pcv causing an oil leak? i just fired my 331 up tonight and ive got an oil leak. I cant tell if its coming from the pan around the crank or if its the rear main seal.

I just had the same problem and the Victor 5.0 upper and lower dont have the hole in the lower intake for the PCV Valve so Matt at Dayton Performance fixed me up with one and the problem is gone. Dont leak a drop now.

PCV can leak. Make sure the PCV screen is not clogged also that can cause oil leaks
