Returned to one of our favorite restaurants last night, The Green Derby. The Derby has been there since Christ was a cadet. The Derby isn't fancy, but their food is terrific. My wife & I both had the fried haddock - outstanding. We started out with the Derby's (I think) best appitizer, fried eggplant, yummy! I also had their warm Derby salad. I love this place. :)

Great place, the food stayed just about dead on the same even when they wont through different owners in the last few years. Pompilio's is my favorite in Newport though.

I thought they closed down. This is great to hear. I know where I'm goin next week for dinner :D I love the derby salad
