Which ones out there are the best? I've noticed the slim ones are at the stores but a lot of people selling their 40gb and upgraded ones for more then what the 120gb ones are. Is there something special about the older ones or what?

some people like the old ones because they were backwards compatible with some ps1 games... and you could hack the old ones easy i hear

Once you play the ps3, I doubt you will play your ps2 games anymore anyway. I would get the 120gig for $300,I'm sure you will be happy.

They have an update that makes most the older games run on the PS3 units to run. that means from new to old ones.

I have the slim one and love it though I really don't get to play it much. Blu Ray is pretty sweet though.

How about some details? I have a whole lot of ps1/ps2 games. That'd be nice.

I bought the big one for the memory and the Blue Ray. Makes netflix really sweet and easy from what I have been told.

That's what made me buy one. I signed up with netflix for something like 9.00 and stream all sorts of movies. The only problem I have with them, is there doesn't really seem to be any of the new release movies on there.
